Presented jointly with SBD Singapore and supported by Sport Singapore.
The PSxSBD Novice Classic is held as part of the inaugural Singapore Urban Sports & Fitness Festival.
This is the inaugural event that welcomes newcomers to the sport, sanctioned by Powerlifting Singapore.
Dive into the challenge and experience the adrenaline rush of competition with the three foundational lifts: the Squat, Bench Press, and Deadlift. Compete among peers in your weight class and age division, and push for the highest combined total. It’s not just about lifting weights; it’s about lifting your spirit!

Whether you’re a gym enthusiast, a budding youth, or a spirited senior, this event is your chance to test your mettle. Discover your true potential and see how far your strength can take you.

As we gather our newest members to our community, we’re not just lifting weights—we’re raising the bar for the sport. This could be your stepping stone to becoming a local hero or an international sensation.

With our affiliation to the International Powerlifting Federation and the Asian Powerlifting Federation, and our commitment to the WADA / Anti-Doping Singapore code, we ensure Fair Play, Great Play: a level playing field. It’s all about the integrity of the sport and the honour of the lift.

Join us at the PSxSBD Novice Classic and be part of a movement that’s more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of strength, community, and personal achievement. Are you ready to lift?
