Terms and Conditions of the Media Pass
The following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) shall apply to the usage of the press and media pass (“the Pass”) issued for the purpose of covering Powerlifting Singapore Combined Nationals 2026 (“the Event”) from 13 to 15 February 2026 organised by Powerlifting Singapore (“the Organiser”). As the bearer of the Pass (“the Bearer”, or “You”), you must agree to and comply with these Terms. Breach of the Terms shall entitle the Organiser to immediately revoke and cancel the Pass in their final sole discretion, and the Organiser has the right to ban you from obtaining any Pass in future events organised by the Organiser, without prejudice to other remedies or actions that the Organiser may be entitled to under the law.
These Terms are subject to the laws of Singapore, and the jurisdiction of the Singapore court.
-
The Pass is the property of the Organiser. The Organiser reserves the right to revoke, modify, or suspend the Pass at any time in its sole and final discretion.
-
The Bearer shall follow all rules and regulations set by the Organiser in respect of the Event, and any directions that the Organiser may set at any time during the Event.
-
The Bearer’s access to the Event venue shall be limited in accordance with the Pass.
-
The Bearer shall only conduct media, journalist, or recording activities in areas of the venue and time period circumscribed by the Organiser. In particular, athletes shall not be interviewed at the Event other than in designated interview points.
-
The Bearer should always conduct themselves in a way that does not impede the flow of the Event, or cause any discomfort or harm to any participant of the Event, including other Bearers. This includes but is not limited to staying clear from the platform during the actual lifting by the athletes.
-
Unless the Bearer has obtained prior written permission from the Organiser, the Bearer shall not use any photographic images, videos, or sounds (“the Content”) the Bearer recorded or obtained during the course of the Event on the Event Venue for Commercial Purposes. For the purposes of these Terms, “Commercial Purpose” shall mean using any of the Media to make a profit, including but not limited to: (a) selling of media packages or individual copies of the Content to participants of the Event; (b) advertisement; (c) licensing or selling the Media to third-parties who have not obtained prior permission or license from the Organiser for Commercial Purpose; (d) any use in any manner that falsely suggests endorsement or sponsorship of the Organiser or the Event.
-
The Organiser is entitled to attach any terms and conditions to any permission or license to any Bearer who intends to use any Content for Commercial Purpose.
-
The Bearer hereby grants to the Organiser non-exclusive perpetual irrevocable worldwide royalty-free license to the Content for the purpose of archival, promotional, and marketing purposes. The license shall permit the Organiser to use, reproduce, edit, reformat, publicly perform, distribute, display, prepare derivative works from, and exploit the Content (in whole or in part), and/or to incorporate it in other works, in any media now known or hereafter created, For the avoidance of doubt, both Parties agree that the granting of this pass by the Organiser to the Bearer is sufficient consideration for the license, and no further payment shall be required from the Organiser in respect of the Organiser’s use of the Content.
-
The Bearer represents and warrants that the Bearer has the requisite ownership, right, and/or license to the Content and that the Content will not infringe any valid and enforceable claim of any third party. The Bearer hereby agrees to indemnify the Organiser from any such third-party claims over the Content.
-
The Bearer shall indemnify the Organiser, and its employees and contractors, from any loss or damages that may be suffered by the Bearer during the Event and/or at the Event venues, either to the Bearer’s person or the Bearer’s properties.
-
The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms as and when necessary upon notice to the Bearer through the email address used by the Bearer in application for the Pass.
